FAQ

Straight answers.

Short and specific. If something here is wrong for your machine, we would rather know.

The quickest way to find out is to try. The first design is free, and the verdict comes before you pay.Stitch my picture
Which machines and formats?

PES, DST, EXP, JEF, VP3, XXX, U01, PEC, and TBF. The machine list is a draft until each row is checked, so pick your hoop size if you are not sure of the model.

Will the file open on my machine?

You get the format that brand usually reads, plus the others in a zip. We have not sewn every model, and the verdict says when a design does not fit the hoop you picked.

Which pictures work best?

Flat logos and drawings with a few solid colors. Photos and smooth gradients get a yellow or a red, because thread sews flat color.

What does the verdict mean?

Green means we did not find a serious problem. Yellow means sew it, but look at the reasons. Red means we would not sew it as-is.

What if it does not sew well?

Tell us on the design page. A bad sew-out returns the credit and starts the design again.

What is the sew-out kit?

A one-page PDF with the verdict, a 25 mm square so you can check that you printed at 100%, and a small dense test-patch file to sew before the real design.

Do you keep my artwork?

Unpaid uploads are deleted after 7 days. After you download, the source picture is deleted after 30 days. The stitch file stays so you can download it again.

Can I sell what I make?

Yes, if you own the artwork. The stitch file is yours to sew and to sell as a physical item.

Do I need software?

No. You load the file on the machine the way you already load designs. The viewer on this site is only a preview.

How is this different from hiring a digitizer?

A person who digitizes for a living will still beat a hard logo. BobbinBot is for a first sew-out you can judge before you pay, with the file and a test patch the same day.
